Description

An endgame where a team does not immediately receive a point for scoring a goal.

A goal is only awarded if the team does not concede within the next 30 seconds.

If the opponent scores within those 30 seconds, the original goal is disallowed (the point is removed).

The coach is responsible for tracking the time, monitoring with a stopwatch or watch from the sideline.

You can use counting out loud or a signal (e.g. a whistle after 30 seconds) to indicate that the goal is now "locked in".

The game continues normally, but teams learn to value defending immediately after a successful moment.

The drill also encourages the team that conceded to attack aggressively in order to rectify the situation.

As a variation, award a bonus point if no shot on goal is conceded during the 30-second window.
