A drill should show where each player starts, the pass, the cut, the screen, and the spacing after the ball moves. The coach also needs to fit shooting, ball handling, and team offense into limited gym time.
Gym time is short and often shared
The plan needs to spread ten or more players across stations on one or two baskets.
Skill work and live play compete for time
A session outline should show how much time remains for shooting, defense, transition, and scrimmage.

What should a basketball coach require from a planning tool?
A court diagram is only the start. Stages for set plays, distinct marks for passes, dribbles, and screens, drill copying, and a plan that is easy to share also matter. These are design requirements, not released CoachTruly basketball features.
