Description

In this drill, two cones are placed on both sides of the goal, each with a ball balanced on top.

The drill begins with the goalkeeper quickly moving to knock the ball off one of the cones.

After knocking the ball off, the goalkeeper quickly returns to the goal to make a save from a shot played by the black player. The black player must time their shots.

After making the save, the goalkeeper continues to knock off the next ball.

Coaching key points
Do not come to a complete stop at the cone and do not lose balance during movement → quick touch and recovery. Immediate new movement after each save.
Progression
Did you hesitate after the save or did you immediately move on to the next action? Was your footwork correct when you knocked the ball off the cone? Was the save controlled or rushed? In which direction should you aim your save?
