1v1 with teams and gates

1 vs 1
1v1 with teams and gates
Description
A 1v1 drill is played with two teams. Gates belonging to the same team are placed at opposite ends of the area. The goal of the drill is to play the ball through your team's gate to your own player, who in turn moves to the middle to beat the opponent's player. If the player in possession beats their opponent and manages to play the ball through the gate, they move to the gate to wait for a pass from their teammate. The same gate cannot be used twice in a row. When the defending player (red) wins the ball, they play the ball through their own team's gate to their teammate.
Quality factors
Utilizing feints and changes of direction: The player uses different rhythm changes and feints to beat the opponent. Protecting the ball: If a direct dribble past the opponent is not possible, the player must be able to maintain possession and look for a new opportunity to progress. Correct positioning: The defender should guide the attacker towards their weaker side or away from the optimal direction of progression. Transition after winning possession: Quick change of direction to attack and an accurate pass through the team's gate.
Key questions
How do I beat the opponent? How do I utilize different feints? How can I position myself to guide the attacker to a difficult angle?
