1. The drill starts with the blue player's dribbling and shot. Immediately after the shot is taken, the blue player goes to defend on the other half of the field.
2. After the blue player's shot is taken, the yellow player starts dribbling the ball and a 1v1 situation is formed on the field.
3. When the 1v1 situation has ended, both players quickly move to the first half of the field, where a new blue player starts attacking with the ball. This creates a 2v1 situation.
4. After the 2v1 situation ends, the players move to the other side, where a new yellow player with the ball starts attacking. This creates a 2v2 situation on the field.
Once the situation ends, restart from the beginning.
Quality factors
Speed of transitions – Players must react quickly when the situation changes and move rapidly to the new situation.
Game reading ability – Players must recognize the changing game situation (1v1 ➝ 2v1 ➝ 2v2) and adapt their actions accordingly.
Exploiting numerical advantage – Quick passes and movement to deceive the defender.
1v2 defending – The defender's task is to slow down the play and direct the attack to a difficult angle.
Movement without the ball – The second attacker can draw the defender away from space.
