Description

Divide the futsal court into four horizontal zones. Play 4v4 with two goalkeepers. Two players of the build-up team start in their own end zone without any opposition. The other two attackers can position themselves in the other zones. The four outfield players of the defending team start in the two middle zones.

The goalkeeper builds out by distributing the ball to the end zone. The attackers try to progress through the zones to a shot on goal. The defenders press in the middle zones and try to prevent progression. They may only drop back into their own end zone once the ball has progressed into their half. After a turnover, the teams switch roles and play restarts from the other team's goalkeeper. After a goal or the ball going out of play, restart in the same way with a new build-up from the goalkeeper.

For example, play rounds of a few minutes each. In the second phase of the drill, the team that wins the ball may continue straight into a counter-attack without a stoppage.
