Divide the players into three teams of five. Each team has four outfield players and a goalkeeper. Two teams play on the full court while the third waits on the side. The four outfield players of the build-up team are in their own half. Three defenders press them, and the fourth defender stays in their own half as cover.
The game starts with the build-up team's goalkeeper. The attackers may cross the halfway line with the ball only by dribbling. Passing across the halfway line is not allowed. After crossing the line, the attackers try to create a shooting opportunity and score. After winning the ball, the defenders may counter-attack immediately. When the ball goes out of play, the team without the ball leaves and the waiting team comes on to defend. The team that scores leaves; the waiting team takes their place and the team that conceded starts with the ball.
Rotation: every new attack starts from the goalkeeper, and the teams first organize their starting positions. Change the covering defender every few attacks.
In the second phase of the drill, the covering defender may join the high press once the build-up team has completed two passes.
