© CoachTruly.com- Description
Set up three grids of about 4 x 4 meters and split six players into pairs. Each grid has an attacker, a defender and one ball. The attacker starts with the ball and tries to keep it inside the grid while keeping their body between the opponent and the ball. The defender tries to win the ball.
The attacker moves the ball with the foot farthest from the opponent and changes direction when necessary. If the defender wins the ball or the ball goes out of the grid, the same attacker takes the ball and a new attempt starts from the middle of the grid. Switch roles after about half a minute. Take a short break before the next set.
In the second phase of the drill, the roles switch immediately after a tackle. The player who lost the ball becomes the defender, and the player who won it shields the ball. A ball that goes out is given to the player who did not touch it last.

- Key questions
- Why should you keep the ball on the foot farthest from the opponent? How do you notice which side the defender is trying to win the ball from?
