Shot on the Move from Behind the Goal
© CoachTruly.com- Description
Played in a half rink with one goal, with a goalkeeper in net. Players are in three lines: the first line with balls near the center line on the far-board side, the second line in the far-board corner, and the third line near the center line on the near-board side.
The player from the first line carries the ball a few meters and makes a pass on the move to the corner. The corner player carries the ball behind the goal and passes it out from behind the goal to the third player, who arrives at full speed and takes a shot from further out. After passing, the first player moves to the front of the goal to look for a rebound.
Rotation: the first line moves to the corner, the corner to the third line, and the third line to the first line. Switch sides every few minutes.
In the second phase of the drill, after passing, the corner player goes to defend against the first player in front of the goal, giving the shooter the option to also pass to the front of the goal.

- Key questions
- Why is a shot on the move more difficult for the goalkeeper than a shot from a standstill? Where should you go in front of the goal to be able to reach the rebound in time?
