Dribbling and Shot
© CoachTruly.com- Description
Played on a half rink into one goal, with a goalkeeper in the goal. Players line up with balls in the top corner next to the goal. A row of cones is set up for a dribbling course across the middle of the half, from the near side board to the far side board, with cones spaced a few metres apart.
The first player in line carries the ball along the top side board to the start of the cone row, dribbles through the cones toward the bottom side board, carries the ball toward the goal and takes a shot. The next player starts when the previous player is halfway through the dribbling course. After shooting, the player moves to a new line in the bottom corner. Once everyone has taken a shot, the course is run from the bottom corner in the opposite direction.
In the second phase of the drill, the type of shot changes each round, for example a wrist shot, a slap shot, and a shot taken directly off the dribble.
