Description

Played in a half rink into one goal, with a goalkeeper in net. At a time, two red forwards and two blue defenders play. The third red player acts as a joker on the center line. The others wait for their turn behind the center line.

The goalkeeper throws the ball into the corner, where one red and one blue player battle 1v1. When the ball leaves the corner or either player gains possession, the second red and second blue player, who have been waiting in front of the goal, join in: 2v2. The reds are allowed to pass to the joker, turning the attack into a 3v2, which is played quickly into a shot. If the blues win the ball, they try to carry it over the center line.

The next group starts once the previous rep has finished. The reds and blues switch roles periodically, and the joker rotates every few reps.

In the second phase of the drill, points are kept: winning the corner battle is worth one point, and a goal is worth two points.
