Description
In the drill, a square is set up in the center of the area, with two players inside it. At one end of the area, players are in lines with every other player having a ball. 1. The drill starts with a pass from one line (red) to the player further away in the square (blue). The red and yellow players start running up their respective flanks. 2. The blue player passes to the black player, who plays the ball into the yellow player's running line. 3. The yellow player carries the ball to the end line and crosses toward goal, where the blue and red players have positioned themselves. 4. Finish.
Quality factors
Accurate and timed passes – Every pass must arrive at the right time to the player in motion. Runs to goal – The blue and red players must position themselves in the goal area before the cross. Role rotation and positioning at goal – One player moves to the near post area and the other to the far post for the cross.
Key questions
